Individuals joining the project as new team members serve a 4-month period as ‘pre-coders’, helping to identify new cases, evaluating cases for inclusion, collecting primary and secondary sources, and coding variables. From there, assuming quality work, pre-coders are promoted to “coders” and paired up with another team member, unlocking additional opportunities.
Individuals need to budget 3-4 hours per week to keep up with the work, and be available 1-2 hours per month for check-in meetings via Zoom. We ask for a minimum commitment of 10 months.
